* The regular contribution includes
- mandatory KNHB contribution
- the possibility to train indoors during the winter period,
- but excluding the surcharge for members who participate in the indoor competition.
** Family discounts do not apply to these memberships or surcharges.
- Top hockey surcharge applies to all selection teams from O14 onwards.
- The indoor hockey surcharge applies only to members of the seniors and U18, U16, U14, U12, and U10 teams who participated in the indoor competition. To cancel, please contact the relevant coordinator.
*** Members who are not studying but are unable to train during the week due to work, but still want to participate in the regular competition, may also be eligible for student team membership. The relevant TC will handle this.
Membership fees are determined each season during the Annual General Meeting (AGM) in June. These fees may change during the season. Each year, the membership fee is increased by at least the indexation figure used by the KNHB (Royal Dutch Football Association) in the previous season. The amount is rounded up to whole numbers.
Club/KNHB membership fee
The membership fee consists of a club portion and a KNHB contribution. For calculations of less than 100% of the membership fee, the KNHB contribution is always calculated at 100%, and the discount applies only to the club portion.
Direct debit
For all members, membership is only possible with a direct debit. The direct debit will take place as follows:
- Collection 1: mid-July = registration fee top hockey surcharge
- Collection 2: mid-August = 1/4 contribution
- Collection 3: mid-September = 1/4 contribution
- Collection 4: mid-October = 1/4 contribution
- Collection 5: end of January = 1/4 contribution indoor hockey competition surcharge
Regulations
- The corresponding invoices will be sent exclusively by email.
- The direct debit remains valid for the duration of membership.
- Invoices relating to fines imposed by the KNHB for yellow and/or red cards, as well as invoices regarding issued clothing, will also be sent via a direct debit authorization.
- Communication regarding contributions and surcharges will be sent exclusively by email. ([email protected])
- The member (or parents of youth members) is always responsible for ensuring that the correct email address and bank account number are known to the membership administration. Email addresses can be entered yourself on our website in the personal menu. Every new member receives the password and membership number. If you no longer know these, please send an email to [email protected]
- There is space for a second email address, which should be used primarily for parents of youth members.
- If the direct debit needs to be debited from a different account number, you can print, complete, scan, and email a new direct debit form to the membership administration using the link below. (Note: a separate authorization is required for each member.)

Payment arrangement
If a member wishes to use a payment plan for the coming season, they can do so by contacting the membership administration by email: [email protected].
In principle, an arrangement is possible, but it does not happen automatically; the member or the member's parents must contact the association themselves.
Arrangements can only be made by direct debit. This ensures that the relevant amounts are debited from your bank account on the agreed-upon dates.
Haarlemmermeer Learning Fund Foundation
The Leergeld Haarlemmermeer Foundation has created a children's package: the Leergeld Haarlemmermeer Foundation has a mission: all children can participate! They help children from families with financial worries in the municipality of Haarlemmermeer and ensure that all children have the same opportunities as much as possible. They offer assistance with things like sports, music lessons, a bicycle, or a birthday present.

Goodwill
The club regularly receives requests for refunds of membership fees due to relocation, injury, internship abroad, or pregnancy.
If a member has been unable to play actively for a period of at least 5 months, a request for goodwill can be sent by email, with the subject line 'Goodwill Request [name]', to [email protected].
A (partial) refund will only be issued if the Board grants a lenient arrangement. Please keep the confirmation email from the Board in a safe place to avoid any misunderstandings later.
Sanctions
Unfortunately, history has shown that reminders and rejected direct debits do occur. MHC de Reigers strives to prevent volunteers from performing unnecessary work and approved an active sanctions policy at the AGM of June 26, 2012.
This means the following:
For direct debits, rejected direct debits are handled as follows.
- 1st refusal is a warning email.
- 2nd refusal is an administrative surcharge of €20
- 3rd refusal is an additional administrative surcharge of €50
- 4th refusal is a ban from playing and a debt collection agency will be deployed.
If payment has not been made by May 1st, the member in question will be registered as a defaulter with the KNHB.
If the contributions from a previous year have not yet been paid, the member will be excluded from participation in the new season until all payments have been made.
Registration fee for former members
Members who cancel their membership before May 1st but re-register before July 1st of the same year will not be charged a registration fee.
However, they will not be assigned to a team during this period and will no longer have any rights to be assigned to a specific team.
Former members who rejoin after a period outside do not have to pay registration fees again.
Membership duration
Membership runs from July 1st to June 30th. For registrations before January 1st, you pay 100% of the membership fee. For registrations between January 1st and April 1st, you pay 50%, and for registrations after April 1st, you pay 25%.
Family discount
If you have three or more family members living at the same address, all family members receive a 10% discount on the total membership fee. Surcharges and fees marked with ** are not included in this discount.
Student team
Members who are studying and are unable to come to training during the week are eligible to participate in a student team for a maximum of 4 years.
To be eligible, an application must be submitted annually before the end of August by email to [email protected] to the Seniors Committee. Please include a copy of a valid student public transport card and DUO/BVI (National Education Executive Agency) ID card. Without a valid BVI card, the full membership fee will be charged.
Student members play only matches and do not receive training. If there are insufficient participants to form a student team, the Board will decide whether the students can play with a regular team.
Membership is only final AFTER confirmation from the TC. Keep the confirmation email to avoid any misunderstandings later.
The student membership expires automatically after each season, unless renewal has been requested in time, as described above.
After December 1, the right to student membership expires.
