How do you cancel your membership?

We're sorry to hear you'd like to cancel, but if you have a good reason, here's the only and correct way to do so.

  • Cancellation is only possible by sending an email, stating the reason, to [email protected] before May 1st of the current season.
  • The cancellation is only final AFTER confirmation from the membership administration. So make sure we have your correct email address!
  • Please keep the confirmation email to avoid any misunderstandings later. This also serves as proof that you have canceled correctly.

 

What happens if you cancel after May 1st?

If cancellation does not take place before May 1st, the following contribution is due:

  • Cancellation after April 30 but before September 1: 100% of the KNHB contribution and 50% of the entire contribution for the new season.
  • Cancellation on or after September 1st: 100% of the KNHB contribution and 100% of the entire contribution for the new season.

Request a postponement

Members awaiting exam results and/or a new program lottery can request a deferment until June 15 before May 1st, allowing them to cancel their membership free of charge.

  • To this end, they must submit a request by email to the membership administration, which can be reached at: [email protected]
  • The request will only be approved AFTER confirmation from the membership administration. So make sure we have your correct email address!
  • Please keep the confirmation email to avoid any misunderstandings later.

 

Why cancel before May 1st?

• The club determines the teams for the following season in May.

• The club is obliged to report the number of teams to the KNHB at the beginning of June.

• The club would like to know in a timely manner how many (paid) coaches and trainers are needed for the youth and senior teams for the next season.

• The club prepares the budget in June and then determines the budgets for the new season.
