Safe sporting environment at MHC De Reigers

At MHC De Reigers, we believe it is very important to provide a safe and enjoyable sporting environment for everyone. That is why we have clear rules and guidelines to ensure respect, sportsmanship and inclusivity.

What do we mean by a safe sporting environment? A sports environment in which everyone—players, trainers, coaches, parents, and volunteers—feels safe and valued. This means we do not tolerate inappropriate behaviour such as discrimination, bullying, aggression, and intimidation.

What are we doing about it?

  • Codes of Conduct: We have codes of conduct for players, parents and supervisors.
  • Confidential Contact Persons (CCPs): They offer a listening ear and help with reports of inappropriate behaviour.
  • Screening and Certificate of Good Conduct (VOG): Trainers and volunteers are assessed.
  • Prevention and awareness: We organize meetings and campaigns about sportsmanship and respect.
  • Reporting point: Anyone can report incidents (anonymously).

What can you do?

  • Respect the rules and contribute to a positive atmosphere.
  • Report unwanted behaviour to the VCPs or the board.
  • Encourage each other to behave in a sporting and respectful manner.
  • Together we ensure a safe and fun sports environment at MHC De Reigers!
