Trial training
Would you like to become a member of MHC de Reigers, but would you like to participate in a few training sessions first to see if hockey is the sport for you?
That's possible! We love welcoming new members. You can start playing hockey as young as 5. We offer various styles of hockey; there's something for every age group, whether it's for the youngest kids or for recreational players.
Trial training sessions
You can participate in two free trial training sessions at De Reigers, with no obligation. You'll train with others your age to learn the basics of hockey. The idea is to attend both sessions to get a good feel for hockey and our club. If you enjoy it, you can become a member. Based on your date of birth, you'll be assigned to a hockey group/team. (See overview below.)
Register for trial training
Click here (or here for the English form) to register for the three free trial training sessions. After registering, you'll receive an email from us with important information. If you have any questions, please email [email protected].
What do you need?
Wear comfortable sportswear and good sneakers, preferably with good tread, as training/play will be on artificial turf (but no soccer shoes with studs).
The club has a stick and shin guards available for loan for trial training sessions. You don't need to purchase them immediately.
Because safety is paramount in hockey, a mouthguard is mandatory for players aged 6 and up! If you participate in one of our trial training sessions, the club will provide you with a mouthguard at the start of the session. Mouthguards are also available at premium sports stores and at the bar in our clubhouse.
Seniors (18 years and older)
Are you a Recreational Player, Senior, or a Reiger Hockey Parent and interested in a trial training session? Send an email to [email protected]. You'll then receive information about when you can participate in two trial training sessions.
